Corporate Account Manager

Office Location: Moulton Park, Northampton
Job Purpose
To be the single point of contact for a defined group of key customers, ensuring they are provided with an excellent level of service and that their account is maintained accurately in line with the terms of their contract.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide Corporate Account customers with full service delivery (supported by the billing, site works and metering teams) facilitating a single point of contact approach.
- Contact customers on a regular basis, to build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring that the customer fulfils their stated payment terms by the agreed deadlines.
- With support from the Corporate Account assistants, ensure all customer sites are registered and accounts maintained accurately, in line with the contract.
- Resolve all day to day queries efficiently and effectively, liaising with external parties where necessary.
- Meet team KPIs and understand the importance of balancing external customer facing targets with internal business critical targets.
- Record and understand all customer Terms and Conditions including those tailored to Corporate customers. Ensure this information is updated when necessary to achieve continuity.
- Liaise with energy / utility brokers to identify possible commercial opportunities and utilise these relationships when looking to renew customers.
- Visit corporate account customers at their sites when necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 12 months experience in account management.
- Be able to deal confidently and assertively with difficult situations / people by telephone and face-to-face.
- Experience of building up strong client relationships.
- Ability to help set and achieve challenging targets with a willingness to assist and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Experience of working with little supervision; using initiative and self-motivation.
- Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback from colleagues and customers, and translate this into positive action.
- Willingness to positively contribute to the continuous improvement of the Corporate Accounts team.
- A good team-player with the ability to be open minded and adaptable to change with a positive “can do” attitude.
- Experience of working in the energy industry would be beneficial but is not essential.
- A full driving Licence and own car is desirable but not essential.
Starting Salary: c.£20,000
Bonus: Performance-related, up to 10% of annual salary
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive
Holidays: 30 days per year (22 standard + 8 bank holidays) increasing with length of service to a maximum of 33 days per year (25 standard + 8 bank holidays)
Pension: Company Pension Scheme, eligible for Company contributions after one year’s service
